Hazles Cross Farm Nursery

What started as a hobby soon became a passion and from a few plants bred in Suffolk a collection of over 500 different colours and forms has spread out in the stunning Staffordshire Moorlands - their new home- the scenery is very reminiscent of much of the native habitats of the hellebore tribe in the Balkans.

The hobby grew and grew and became a business and I hope that you will enjoy looking through this site, seeing hellebores in all of their myriad forms and perhaps be tempted to visit the National Collection to view them up close and personal. You might even become as addicted as me - beware they are VERY ADDICTIVE!

In addition to the people mentioned above I am deeply grateful to Mathias Thomsen and Tim Murphy for their help, friendship, plants and seeds, and introducing me to what must be one of the most beautiful regions of the world THE BALKANS.

I am usually assisted at the nursery by my other addiction - felines!

Here are some of the helpers in action
